Rudedog U.S.A. 3/4" Speed Bolt (#5010) is a heavy-duty quick-connect bolt engineered to draw two steel beams together quickly using a welded nut on one end and a loose nut on the other.
This Quickie Bolt by Rudedog U.S.A. is built for ironworkers and fabricators who need a fast, temporary clamp-style connection to pull plates and beams tightly for alignment and insertion of a standard bolt. It features an extra coarse thread for rapid rotation and comes with a 1 7/16" nut welded to one end plus a 1 1/4" loose nut. Made in the USA, the #5010 is intended to speed up fit-up and is not a substitute for permanent fasteners.
The extra coarse threads require fewer turns to travel the same axial distance as finer threads, letting you pull two connection plates together quickly. You tighten the welded nut while the loose nut provides additional clamp force and adjustment. Once parts are aligned, a standard bolt can be inserted and tightened for a permanent connection.
The Rudedog #5010 is a 3/4" diameter bolt with a welded 1 7/16" nut on one end and a separate 1 1/4" nut included. Threading is an extra coarse profile designed for fast engagement rather than fine-tune torque control. It’s manufactured to rugged shop standards in the U.S.A., suitable for heavy steelwork environments.
No — the Rudedog Quickie Bolt is designed as a temporary pull-in tool to aid alignment and assembly. After achieving fit-up with the Speed Bolt, you should install the specified permanent bolt and torque it to the required specification for load-bearing applications. The product is a time-saving aid, not a final load-rated fastener.
Insert the bolt through the aligned holes of the plates, engage the welded nut, and spin the loose nut to draw the faces together. Check alignment visually and with measuring tools before driving the permanent bolt. Keep hands clear of pinch points and use appropriate wrenches matched to the nut sizes for efficient tightening.
Who is this for: Rudedog U.S.A. #5010 3/4" Speed Bolt is aimed at ironworkers, structural fabricators, riggers, and maintenance crews who need a durable, American-made tool to speed fit-up and alignment tasks on beams, plates, and connection points. It benefits anyone who performs repeated assembly operations and wants a reliable quick-clamp that makes permanent bolting faster and easier.
Q: Is the Rudedog 3/4" Speed Bolt a permanent fastener?
A: No. It’s a temporary pull-in tool for alignment; install a specified permanent bolt for load-bearing connections.
Q: What nuts come with the #5010 Speed Bolt?
