RVGUARD RV Skylight Inner Dome 14x22 Clear Window — 88% Light Transmission & 100% UV Block

RVGUARD RV Skylight Inner Dome is a screw‑on replacement inner dome sized for 14"×22" roof openings that delivers 88% light transmission, full UV protection, and durable ABS/polycarbonate construction.

This clear inner dome is designed as a direct, universal replacement for standard 14"×22" RV roof openings and fits walls ≥70mm. Built from rugged ABS plastic with a polycarbonate (PC) clear window, it balances maximum daylight with impact resistance. The dome blocks 100% of UV rays to protect interiors and fabrics while helping reduce heat buildup. It ships with screws for straightforward installation so you can upgrade your skylight without specialized tools.

How does this skylight improve interior light without overheating?

The RVGUARD inner dome transmits 88% of available daylight, brightening cabins and eliminating the need for extra artificial lighting during the day. Its polycarbonate window lets in visible light while the UV protection prevents harmful ultraviolet rays from entering.

• 88% light transmission for natural illumination
• 100% UV blocking to reduce sun damage and fading
• Clear PC window preserves color fidelity and visibility

Is it sturdy enough for road and weather exposure?

The dome combines an ABS plastic frame with a polycarbonate clear insert, materials chosen for impact resistance and weather durability. Polycarbonate is tough against hail, windborne debris, and thermal cycling, so it stands up to typical RV travel conditions.

• ABS frame resists cracking and environmental stress
• Polycarbonate window offers high tensile strength
• Designed to withstand outdoor elements and mild impacts

How simple is installation—what tools and prep are required?

RVGUARD includes the mounting screws so the inner dome installs with basic tools (screwdriver or drill). It’s a screw‑on replacement for standard 14"×22" openings and works with wall thicknesses of 70mm or greater, minimizing the need for additional parts or professional assistance.

• Comes with mounting screws included
• Fits standard 14"×22" roof openings—no cutting required
• Compatible with walls ≥70mm; basic hand tools sufficient

Will this dome protect my interior fabrics and electronics?

The integrated UV‑blocking layer prevents ultraviolet radiation from penetrating the cabin, which helps limit fading of upholstery and reduces potential solar damage to interior surfaces and electronics. It does not claim temperature control but reduces UV‑caused degradation.

• 0% UV transmission protects surfaces and finishes
• Helps preserve upholstery, cabinetry, and décor colors
• Complements ventilation or shades for temperature management

Who is this for: RVGUARD’s 14"×22" clear inner dome is suited for RV owners, vanlifers, and fleet managers who need a direct replacement for standard skylight openings and want brighter interiors without UV exposure. It’s ideal for DIYers who prefer a screw‑on solution with included hardware and for anyone seeking a durable, weather‑resistant skylight insert to protect interior finishes while maximizing natural light.
