RVGUARD RV Skylight Replacement Dome 18" x 26" Smoke Tint — Polycarbonate, UV‑Blocking with Screws

If your RV skylight is cracked, yellowed, or letting in too much heat, this RVGUARD replacement dome provides a durable, weather-resistant upgrade. Designed as an 18" x 26" outer-dimension unit for common RV roof openings, the smoke-tinted polycarbonate lens balances daylight with privacy while protecting interiors from UV damage. The package includes the required M4*25 screws so you can replace the dome without hunting for hardware.

How will the smoke tint affect light and privacy inside my RV?

The smoke tint reduces visible light while preserving natural daylight, creating a cooler and more private interior. It approximates 30% light transmission, which softens bright sunlight without plunging the cabin into darkness.

• 30% light transmission for balanced daylight and reduced glare
• Improved privacy compared with clear domes
• Helps lower interior heat load compared to untinted skylights

Is this skylight strong enough for road use and storm exposure?

Yes — the dome is molded from high-grade polycarbonate, a material known for excellent impact resistance and tensile strength. It stands up better to hail, wind, and debris than standard acrylic domes, making it suitable for mobile and outdoor environments.

• Premium polycarbonate construction for impact resistance
• Designed to withstand harsh weather and road conditions
• Long-lasting clarity with anti-aging properties for years of use

Will this fit my RV and what hardware is included for installation?

The replacement measures an 18" x 26" outer dimension and is made to work with standard 14" x 22" roof openings used on many RVs. The kit arrives with M4*25 screws so you can mount the dome to most existing frames without searching for fasteners.

• 18" x 26" outer dimension for compatibility with standard openings
• Includes M4*25 screws for immediate installation
• Fits most aftermarket and OEM roof frames designed for this size

How does this skylight protect my RV interior from sun damage?

RVGUARD's skylight blocks 100% of UV rays, preventing fading and sun-related deterioration of upholstery, plastics, and finishes. With zero percent UV transmission, it helps slow material aging and keeps passenger areas more comfortable during sunny conditions.

• 100% UV-blocking design to protect interior surfaces
• Reduces long-term fading and material degradation
• Contributes to a cooler cabin by limiting UV-driven heat buildup

Who is this for? RVGUARD's 18" x 26" smoke skylight is ideal for RV owners, van lifers, and mobile-home renovators who need a reliable, long-lasting replacement dome. Choose this model if you want improved impact resistance, UV protection, and a smoke tint that balances light and privacy, all with the convenience of included mounting screws. Note: avoid acid-based adhesives when installing to preserve the skylight material and its longevity.
