Sailnovo 20 cu ft Hitch Cargo Carrier Soft Shell Bag — Waterproof 1000D PVC, Lockable with Reflective Trim

The Sailnovo 20 cu ft hitch cargo carrier soft shell bag is a waterproof, lockable cargo solution that fits standard 60" x 24" hitch racks and secures gear for road trips, moving, and outdoor adventures.

Built from heavy-duty 1000D three-layer PVC and engineered for hitch-mount carriers, this soft-shell bag combines weather resistance with reinforced straps and security features. Its large internal volume and smart design make it an easy way to add luggage capacity without a rooftop rack, while reflective trim and a combination lock increase safety and theft deterrence during long drives.

How durable is the Sailnovo hitch cargo bag for long trips?

The bag uses high-density 1000D 3-layer PVC with reinforced seams, extended zipper flap, and secure Velcro to defend against abrasion, rain, and light snow. Straps and handles are strengthened for repeated use, so the bag withstands loading, unloading, and highway exposure.

• 1000D triple-layer PVC shell for abrasion and water resistance
• Reinforced seams and extended zipper flap to reduce leakage
• Wider, adjustable straps (8 total) to distribute load and prevent shifting

Will it fit my hitch carrier and how much can it carry?

This carrier bag is designed for hitch platforms near 60" long by 24" wide and is adjustable to sit securely on slightly varying rack heights. With a 20 cubic-foot capacity (60" x 24" x 24"), it can hold several suitcases, camping gear, or bulky items while keeping the vehicle interior free.

• Designed to fit 60" x 24" racks; compatible with most car, SUV, and truck hitch carriers
• 20 cu ft capacity—fits up to five medium suitcases or equivalent camping equipment
• Advice: pre-position the bag on smaller racks before filling for better stability

How secure and weatherproof is my luggage inside the bag?

Waterproof 1000D PVC plus a zipper cover and Velcro closure help keep water out, while the included combination lock secures the zippered opening. Reflective strips increase night visibility, and the eight-point strap system minimizes movement that could expose seams or openings in transit.

• Extended zipper flap and Velcro closure to shield zipper from wet conditions
• Combination lock to deter theft and keep zippers secured
• Reflective strips to boost visibility when parked or driving at night

How easy is it to load, move, and store the hitch cargo bag?

Two strong side handles make lifting and positioning onto the hitch carrier straightforward; for heavy loads, support from beneath is recommended to protect the handles. When empty, the soft-shell design compacts for garage or trunk storage, saving space compared with hard boxes.

• Two sturdy side handles for lifting and maneuvering
• Soft-shell construction collapses flat for compact storage
• Recommended: check hitch rack weight limits and brace heavy loads from below
