SEALIGHT 3157 LED Reverse Bulbs are a high-output white backup and brake light upgrade that delivers focused, long-lasting illumination for clearer reversing and improved road visibility.
These SEALIGHT LEDs replace common 3157/3156-style halogen bulbs with a compact projector design and a dense 57-SMD chipset to push substantially more white light where you need it. Built from aviation-grade aluminum with a dedicated heat path and a constant-current driver, they are designed for 12V and 24V systems and plug into a wide range of base types for easy installation. The bulbs are intended for reverse lights, backup lights, tail/brake lights and some parking light applications where bright, focused white output matters.
These bulbs are marketed as delivering up to 700% more visible output than typical halogen reverse bulbs, concentrating light through a small projector lens and the dense 57-SMD array. That produces stronger illumination behind the vehicle for improved sightlines while backing up under low-light or poor-weather conditions.
SEALIGHT 3157 LEDs use a non-polarity design and are plug-and-play for many 3157/3156-style sockets, so most installations require no wiring modifications. They are compatible with a long list of bases commonly used for reverse and brake lighting, but they do not fit 7443/7440 or 912/921 bases.
The bulbs use a full aviation-grade aluminum housing to move heat away from the LEDs and a built-in constant-current IC to stabilize output. That combination lowers operating temperature and helps keep light levels steady over time, contributing to a long service life compared with unmanaged LED assemblies.
They are designed primarily as reverse/backup lights but can also serve as brake, tail or parking lights depending on the vehicle and lamp housing. Because they emit bright white light, they work best where a white reverse illumination is required; for turn signals you’ll need an amber lens or housing to maintain correct color.
Who is this for: drivers who want a brighter, more focused reverse light without extensive rewiring — especially those who back up frequently at night or in poor weather. Installers and DIYers who prefer plug-and-play LED upgrades that fit common 3157-family sockets will appreciate the heat-managed design, solid-state driver and the projector lens that reduces glare and dark zones. If your vehicle uses incompatible bases listed above, choose a matched base style instead.
Q: Will these replace my stock 3157 halogen bulbs?
A: Yes — they are plug-and-play for most 3157/3156-style sockets and non-polarity for easy swap.
Q: Are these bulbs suitable for 24V trucks?
A: Yes — they operate across 9–30V, so they work with typical 12V and 24V vehicle systems.
