SPTA Clay Bar and Luber Kit is a three-piece 300g medium-duty detailing clay set bundled with a 16oz synthetic lubricant to safely remove surface contaminants and leave automotive paint smooth to the touch.
If your vehicle’s finish feels rough despite regular washing, embedded fallout, rail dust, and industrial grime may be to blame. The SPTA kit gives you a tactile, non-abrasive way to pull contaminants from clearcoat, glass, chrome and painted trim so polishes and waxes work better and look clearer. This kit pairs pliable medium-strength clay bars with a synthetic lubrication spray formulated to reduce friction and protect the surface while you glide the clay over panels.
Start with a clean vehicle and work in small sections. Spray the synthetic luber generously over a panel, knead a clay bar into a flat tab, and glide it gently back and forth until the surface feels smooth; avoid heavy pressure and re-fold the clay frequently to expose a clean face.
These medium-duty clay bars are formulated for common exterior surfaces: painted clearcoat, glass, chrome, and smooth plastic trim. They remove bonded contaminants like overspray, tar, brake dust, and oxidation residues without aggressive polishing when used with the included luber.
Longevity depends on how contaminated the vehicle is and how often you refold the clay to expose clean material. Each 100g bar in this 300g pack can be used multiple times if kept clean, but replace bars when embedded particles become too dense to fold out.
The 16oz synthetic lubricant reduces friction between the clay and surface, minimizing the chance of marring and helping the clay glide smoothly over contaminants. It also provides temporary slickness so you can detect when a panel is fully decontaminated by feel rather than sight alone.
Who is this for? The SPTA Clay Bar and Luber Kit suits DIY detailers, weekend enthusiasts, and professional cleaners who need an effective, budget-friendly contaminant removal system. It’s ideal for anyone prepping surfaces for polishing or protection on cars, trucks, RVs, buses, motorcycles, and glass—especially when you want a tactile method to restore smoothness without aggressive abrasives.
Q: Can I use these clay bars on ceramic-coated paint?
A: You can clay ceramic-coated paint, but test a small area first; use light pressure and plenty of lubricant to avoid compromising the coating.
Q: How often should I clay my car?
A: Clay only when the finish feels rough after washing—typically once or twice a year for most daily-driven vehicles.
