STAR BRITE Heavy Duty Stiff Wash Brush Head 8" — Floatable, Chemical-Resistant Scrub

The STAR BRITE 8" Heavy Duty Stiff Wash Brush is a rugged, chemical-resistant brush head designed to scrub textured and non-skid surfaces without damage.

Engineered for boats, decks, outdoor furniture and other rough surfaces, this 8-inch brush head pairs with standard 3/4" threaded poles or STAR BRITE Extend‑A‑Brush handles. Its Starprene polymer fibers deliver aggressive scrubbing power while resisting heat, stains and many cleaning chemicals, and the lightweight block construction floats if dropped overboard. Choose this head when you need tough cleansing action that endures sun, salt and repeated use.

How does this brush head tackle stubborn dirt on non-skid decking?

The heavy-duty stiff fibers cut into textured surfaces to lift sand, algae and grime without gouging the substrate. The dense Starprene pile maintains stiffness when wet, making each stroke effective and efficient.

• 8" head size covers wide swaths for faster cleaning
• High-density Starprene fibers deliver firm scrubbing action
• Safe on non-skid surfaces when used with moderate pressure
• Works well with standard or Extend‑A‑Brush poles for reach

Will this brush resist chemicals, sun and saltwater exposure?

Yes — the Starprene polymer is formulated to resist discoloration, rot and brittleness, and withstands heat up to 200°F. That durability makes it suitable for marine environments and repeated contact with common cleaners.

• Resists staining and fading from cleaners and UV
• Does not absorb odors or retain moisture
• Floatable block reduces loss risk if dropped overboard
• Maintains fiber integrity in hot or salty conditions

Which handles will this brush head fit and how easy is it to swap?

The head accepts any standard 3/4" threaded handle and is fully compatible with STAR BRITE Extend‑A‑Brush telescoping handles. Swapping heads is quick and tool-free when using compatible threaded poles.

• Fits 3/4" threaded poles—widely available
• Direct fit with STAR BRITE Extend‑A‑Brush systems
• Simple screw-on installation for fast changes
• Great for kit setups with interchangeable heads

How do I choose between Soft, Medium and Heavy Duty variants?

Pick the fiber firmness based on surface sensitivity and soil level: Soft for delicate finishes, Medium for general maintenance, and Heavy Duty Stiff for heavily soiled textured surfaces. The 8" heavy-duty option is the best choice when strong mechanical action is needed without harsh tools.

• Soft (Yellow): gentle on polished surfaces
• Medium (Blue): everyday cleaning balance
• Heavy Duty Stiff (White): maximum scrubbing force for non-skid
• Select based on finish and grime severity

Who is this for: The STAR BRITE 8" Heavy Duty Stiff Wash Brush suits boat owners, marina crews, deck contractors and homeowners who need a resilient scrubbing head for textured, outdoor surfaces. If you regularly contend with embedded dirt, algae or salt deposits on non-skid flooring, docks or outdoor furniture and want a brush that resists chemicals, sun and water, this brush head is a practical, long‑lasting choice.
