Tentproinc RV Awning Side Sun Shade Screen — 7ft Panel, 86% UV Protection & Wind Reduction

Tentproinc's RV Awning Side Sun Shade Screen is a 7-foot side panel that attaches to most awnings to block about 86% of UV rays while preserving an open view.

When you park the motorhome, camper, or trailer, unwanted sun, glare, and cross-winds can turn outdoor downtime into discomfort. This side sun shade screen mounts to a standard RV awning and creates a shaded, breezy space beside your vehicle. It’s built to fit popular awning brands and comes with hardware and a storage bag for quick setup and teardown.

How effective is this shade at cutting sun and heat?

The shade fabric blocks roughly 86% of UV light, lowering direct sun exposure while keeping visibility toward the campsite. By reducing incoming sunlight, it helps decrease the perceived temperature under the awning without enclosing the area completely.

• Blocks about 86% of UV rays for sun protection
• Open-weave fabric maintains outward visibility
• Creates a cooler shaded area under the awning

Will it withstand wind and stay secure during use?

Designed to reduce wind force, especially cross-winds, the screen breaks wind pressure and stabilizes the awning area when paired with a front shade. The hardware kit includes hooks, bungees, stakes, and screws so you can anchor it to the ground or the RV for added security.

• Zinc alloy hooks and stainless screws for firm attachment
• Two plastic ground stakes and multiple bungees for tensioning
• Works best with a front shade to create a sheltered outdoor room

How easy is installation, storage, and transport?

Installation is straightforward: the lightweight fabric and included accessories let one person mount or remove the panel quickly. Everything packs into the supplied storage bag so the shade is ready to stow in a compartment or trunk between outings.

• Includes storage bag for compact transport
• Simple setup with basic hardware—no special tools required
• Lightweight material that’s comfortable to handle

What awnings and RVs does this side screen fit?

The panel measures for a 7-foot extension and is compatible with most popular awning brands, making it a versatile add-on for many motorhomes, travel trailers, and camper setups. Check your awning’s extension length to confirm fit before purchase.

• Actual shade size fits a 7-foot awning extension
• Compatible with Dometic, Carefree, Lippert, Fiamma, Solera, and similar brands
• Suits motorhomes, camper trailers, and many RV awning styles

Who is this for: This side sun shade screen is ideal for RV owners who want a quick, portable way to expand sheltered outdoor living—campers who need UV protection and wind reduction, families who want clearer views while staying shaded, and road trippers seeking simple hardware and compact storage. It’s especially useful if your awning is around a 7-foot extension and you use popular awning brands.
