TrkWyze Aluminium American Flag Hitch Cover for 2" Receiver — CAR WASH Safe, UV-Resistant, Secure Retention

TrkWyze's Aluminum American Flag Hitch Cover is a durable, weatherproof 2" receiver plug with an embossed aluminum U.S. flag face that resists car-wash pressures, UV fade, and road wear.

This hitch cover combines a heavy-duty aluminum flag plate with a resilient rubber body and an improved retention system so you can display the Stars and Stripes without worrying about peeling, cracking, or accidental loss. Designed for everyday driving and repeated automated car washes, the cover balances rugged performance with a clean, patriotic look that fits most standard 2" trailer receivers.

How does this hitch cover stay attached through car washes and highway use?

The TrkWyze design uses a larger retaining ring and longer tether to create a more secure fit and simplify installation. The flag panel itself is mechanically locked to the housing rather than taped, eliminating a common failure point found on cheaper covers.

• Six locking tabs secure the aluminum faceplate to prevent detachment.
• Oversized retaining loop grips the receiver for added hold under pressure.
• Longer tether keeps the cover connected to the vehicle when removed.

Will the flag graphic fade or deteriorate outdoors?

The embossed aluminum plate receives a UV-resistant coating to reduce sun-related fading and preserve color saturation over time. The metal face is less prone to abrasion than printed plastic panels, so it keeps its appearance through seasonal exposure and wash cycles.

• UV protective coating minimizes sun fade.
• Embossed metal resists scuffs and paint loss better than stickers.
• Coating helps guard against road salt and moisture damage.

How durable is the rubber body in extreme temperatures?

TrkWyze formulates a road-tested rubber compound that stays flexible in cold weather without becoming brittle in heat, reducing cracking and premature aging. That resilience helps the cover maintain its fit and prevents falling out of the receiver during long drives.

• Rubber compound engineered for temperature resilience.
• Outperforms soft rubber plugs that crack under summer heat.
• Designed to resist road vibration and repeated insertion.

Will this fit my vehicle’s hitch receiver?

The cover is made for standard 2" hitch receivers. It will not fit certain vehicles whose receiver openings are larger than typical 2" designs — for example, some Toyota Tacoma and 4Runner models with oversized openings may prevent the retention ring from fitting securely.

• Fits standard 2" receiver openings.
• Do not use if your receiver opening exceeds 3.1" across.
• Measure your receiver before purchase to ensure compatibility.

Who is this for? If you want a patriotic hitch cover that looks good after repeated car washes and harsh road conditions, and you need a reliable plug for a standard 2" receiver, the TrkWyze Aluminum American Flag Hitch Cover is built for you. It’s aimed at drivers who prefer a metal-faced, fade-resistant emblem and a rubber body engineered to resist cracking and accidental loss. If your vehicle has an oversized receiver opening (commonly found on some Tacoma and 4Runner models), double-check dimensions before ordering.
