Valterra Odorlos RV & Marine Holding Tank Treatment 40 oz Self‑Measuring Bottle — Formaldehyde‑Free, Fast Odour Control

Valterra Odorlos V77002 is a 40-ounce self-measuring holding tank treatment that feeds beneficial bacteria nitrates to stop odors and speed waste breakdown without formaldehyde.

Designed for RV and marine holding tanks, Valterra Odorlos supplies naturally occurring microbes with an alternative energy source—nitrates—so they don’t rely on sulfate-driven processes that create unpleasant smells. This concentrated, non-toxic formula works in a wide temperature range, safely accelerating tissue and waste decomposition while helping prevent clogs. The bottle includes an integrated measuring system for simple dosing and consistent results.

How does Valterra Odorlos reduce holding tank odors?

The product provides beneficial bacteria with nitrates as a preferred energy source. When bacteria metabolize nitrates instead of sulfates, fewer sulfur-based compounds form, which reduces the typical rotten-egg and sewage smells associated with holding tanks.

• Feeds naturally occurring bacteria with nitrates for cleaner biological processing
• Limits sulfate metabolism that produces foul-smelling gases
• Maintains a biological environment that minimizes odor production

Is this safe for RVs, boats, and septic systems?

Yes — the Valterra formula is non-toxic and free of formaldehyde, making it safe for RV and marine holding tanks as well as septic systems. It targets biological processes rather than relying on harsh chemicals, so it’s compatible with common plumbing materials and reduces the risk of damage from corrosive additives.

• Formaldehyde-free and non-toxic for safer handling and disposal
• Compatible with standard RV, marine, and septic plumbing materials
• Works biologically, avoiding harsh chemical degradation

How do I use the 40oz self-measuring bottle effectively?

The bottle’s built-in measuring chamber makes dosing straightforward: squeeze the bottle to fill the measure, pour into the holding tank, and repeat as recommended. Regular use after emptying or per the tank manufacturer’s maintenance schedule ensures continuous bacterial support and consistent odor control.

• Integrated measuring chamber for accurate, no-spill dosing
• Simple squeeze-and-pour application—no extra tools needed
• Best used on a regular schedule or after tank flushing for steady results

Will it work in cold or hot conditions?

Valterra Odorlos is formulated to remain effective across a broad temperature range, so it continues supporting bacterial activity in both warm and cooler environments. That reliability makes it suitable for year-round travel, seasonal storage, and varying marine climates.

• Maintains efficacy in extreme temperatures common to RV and marine use
• Helps prevent buildup and clogs even when conditions fluctuate
• Stable formula for dependable performance during travel and storage
