VEKINSE Straight Tongue zinc trailer coupler for 3" tongues and 2" hitch balls provides a 5,000 lb rated, corrosion-resistant connection with an easy-lock latch and security pin holes.

This heavy-duty coupler is built for owners who need a dependable, straightforward hitching solution. Made from thick die-cut steel with a zinc finish, the unit ships with mounting hardware, an easy-remove sticker and clear instructions so you can install and use it quickly. Its components and design prioritize fit, corrosion resistance and simple operation for everyday towing tasks.

Will this coupler fit my trailer tongue and hitch ball?

The coupler is sized specifically for a 3" wide straight trailer tongue and mates to a standard 2" hitch ball. It’s cut and formed to give a snug interface so the ball seats securely, reducing play and improving tow stability.

• Compatible with 3" straight trailer channels.
• Designed for 2" trailer hitch balls (standard size).
• Rated for up to 5,000 pounds gross trailer weight.
• Precision die-cut fit to minimize movement around the ball.

How does the easy-lock latch make hitching faster?

The coupler’s easy-lock latching mechanism lets you secure the hitch with a single motion, cutting down on repeated adjustments. It locks firmly over the ball and offers a simple release for unhitching, saving time at the ramp or storage lot.

• Single-action latch for quick coupling and release.
• Positive engagement holds the ball without complex steps.
• Latch accepts a safety pin or coupler lock for added security.
• Reduces the need for repeated trial alignments when hitching.

What protection against rust and wear does the zinc finish provide?

The coupler’s zinc coating offers corrosion resistance better than bare steel, helping it withstand road salt, moisture and outdoor storage conditions. While not maintenance-free, the finish extends service life and keeps exposed surfaces looking and performing well longer.

• Corrosion-resistant zinc plating on all exterior surfaces.
• Thick die-cut steel core for strength beneath the finish.
• Requires normal inspection and touch-up if coating becomes damaged.
• Suitable for regular outdoor use and seasonal towing.

Does it include hardware and security options for safe towing?

Yes — the package includes mounting hardware plus installation instructions and a removable sticker to simplify setup. The coupler has holes to accept safety pins or aftermarket coupler locks so you can secure the hitch against accidental uncoupling or theft.

• Included mounting bolts and nuts for straightforward installation.
• Clear instructions and easy-remove sticker guide proper placement.
• Coupler features holes sized for safety pins or coupler locks.
• Hardware and hole placement follow common trailer standards.
