Vepagoo 15in 45lb Gas Struts 2-Pack with L-Brackets and Ball-End Mounts, Heavy-Duty Window & Hatch Support

Vepagoo 15in 45lb/200N gas struts are a two-pack of heavy-duty, 15-inch lift supports with L-type brackets designed to smoothly hold and assist opening windows, lids, and hatches up to about 45 lb.

These gas springs are made to replace or upgrade standard lift supports on RV compartments, camper beds, outdoor cabinets, boat hatches, and other heavy lids. Each strut measures 14.96" extended and 9.06" compressed, delivers 45 lb (200 N) of force, and includes removable ball-end brackets so you can orient the mounting to fit your application. The pair ships with four reinforced L-type brackets and M8 nuts to simplify installation.

How much weight can these struts safely support?

Each Vepagoo strut provides approximately 45 lb (200 N) of lifting force, making the pair suitable for single-sided support of medium-heavy lids and windows. Typical recommended lid weights are 22–30" wide and 35–50 lb when using a single strut depending on hinge friction and lid balance.

• Rated force: 45 lb / 200 N per strut
• Suggested lid width: about 22–30 inches
• Common applications: RV beds, trailer lids, outdoor TV cabinets
• High-strength steel body for durability and long service life

What are the exact dimensions and mounting options?

The gas springs measure 14.96" when extended and 9.06" when compressed, giving a usable travel suitable for many hatch and window geometries. They feature ball-end connections and include L-type mounting brackets that can be unscrewed, rotated, and repositioned for universal fitment.

• Extended length: 14.96 inches (15 in nominal)
• Compressed length: 9.06 inches
• Ball-end connectors for quick snap-on mounting
• Included: 2 struts, 4 L-type brackets, 4 M8 nuts, installation guide

How simple is installation and what hardware do I need?

Installation is straightforward for anyone comfortable with basic hand tools; the brackets and ball ends are pre-designed for quick assembly. The package includes brackets and M8 nuts, but screws or bolts for your mounting surface are not supplied—choose corrosion-resistant fasteners suited to your material.

• Follow the included instruction sheet or online install videos
• Requires appropriate screws/bolts for your lid and frame (not included)
• Ball ends make removal and replacement fast for maintenance
• Measure mounting points before drilling to ensure correct geometry

What maintenance or service can I expect?

Gas struts are largely maintenance-free; avoid corrosive chemical exposure and heavy impact to extend life. If a strut loses force or shows leakage, Vepagoo offers 18-month replacement support and customer assistance for selection or installation help.

• Keep rod clean and free of debris to prevent seal wear
• Do not attempt to disassemble the gas strut — high-pressure gas inside
• Contact Vepagoo for replacement within 18 months if defective
• Rotate or reposition brackets if your lid geometry changes
