Vistar Water Technologies Flow-Pur 8 Compatible Carbon Block Filter 2-Pack, 5-Micron NSF-Style for Under-Sink & RV

These are two Vistar Water Technologies Flow-Pur 8 compatible carbon block replacement cartridges (WCBCS-975-RV) that reduce taste, odor, and common particulates in household water.

Keep your Flow-Pur 8-style under-sink or RV filtration system running with this 2-pack of NSF-grade 5-micron carbon block cartridges by Vistar Water Technologies. Designed as compatible replacements for the WCBCS-975-RV/Flow-Pure 8 line, these filters offer an affordable way to maintain clearer-smelling, better-tasting water without swapping plumbing. They slide into the same housings and provide the same basic mechanical and adsorptive action expected from carbon block media.

How do these filters improve everyday water quality?

The carbon block material captures fine particulate and adsorbs organic compounds that create off-tastes and odors. While not a medical device, carbon block technology is effective for improving sensory aspects of tap water and protecting downstream appliances from sediment buildup.

• NSF-style 5-micron rating for fine particulate reduction
• Activated carbon matrix reduces chlorine taste and common odors
• Uniform block design minimizes channeling for more consistent flow

Will these cartridges fit my Flow-Pur 8 or WCBCS-975-RV system?

Yes—these replacements are built to be compatible with Flow-Pur 8 housings and the WCBCS-975-RV specification. They are drop-in replacements that match the same size and connection style, so most users can swap them without changing tubing or fittings.

• Standard Flow-Pur 8 cartridge dimensions and end-cap format
• Works in residential under-sink and many RV filtration housings
• Easy twist-and-pull or push-fit installation depending on housing model

How long will each cartridge last and how should I maintain them?

Longevity depends on water quality and usage: typical performance ranges from 3 to 6 months for average household use. Replace sooner if flow noticeably slows, taste returns, or after heavy sediment incidents. Regular replacement keeps filtration efficient and prevents clogging.

• Average replacement interval: 3–6 months depending on use
• Monitor flow rate and taste as simple replacement cues
• Flush cartridges per housing manufacturer instructions before use

What can I expect during installation and first-use setup?

Installation is straightforward for anyone familiar with cartridge housings. Shut off supply, relieve pressure, swap cartridges, then flush water to clear trapped carbon fines for a few minutes before use.

• Turn off feed and depressurize housing before changing
• Insert new cartridge with correct orientation and reseal housing
• Flush for 2–5 minutes to remove initial carbon dust and air

Who is this for: Homeowners, renters, and RV owners who need an economical, easy-to-install replacement for Flow-Pur 8/WCBCS-975-RV style systems will find this 2-pack a practical choice. It’s aimed at people who want improved taste and odor reduction, protection for downstream fixtures, and straightforward maintenance without modifying existing plumbing. If you require specialized contaminant removal (e.g., microbial treatment, heavy metals beyond standard carbon capabilities), consult your system specifications or consider additional/alternative filtration stages.
