Votex 6 3/4" Short Rubber Antenna for Ford Ranger (1982–2011) — Car‑Wash Proof, Copper Coil Reception

Votex's 6 3/4" short rubber antenna replaces tall factory masts on Ford Ranger (1982–2011) with a low-profile, car‑wash‑proof design that preserves excellent AM/FM reception. Replacing a broken, bent, or missing factory antenna doesn’t have to mean sacrificing signal or looks. The Votex 6 3/4" antenna was engineered for drivers who want a sleek, low-profile appearance without the reception compromises common to many short replacements. Built with an internal copper coil, 304 stainless steel threading, and a durable EPDM rubber body, this antenna aims to deliver near-factory performance while resisting the damage that short, tall, or weak antennas often suffer in automated car washes.

How does this antenna maintain good radio reception despite its short length?

The Votex design uses an internal copper coil that is far more conductive than the aluminum or steel used in many short antennas. That coil, combined with optimized internal geometry, helps the antenna capture AM/FM signals closer to what the original mast would, minimizing station dropouts and static.

• Internal high-conductivity copper coil for stronger signal pickup
• German-engineered performance tuning for short-form antennas
• Comparable reception to longer factory masts in typical driving conditions

Will this antenna survive car washes and everyday wear?

Yes — the Votex 6 3/4" is explicitly designed to withstand car wash forces and routine impacts that snap ordinary masts. Its flexible EPDM rubber body and reinforced stainless steel thread connection reduce the chance of breakage, and Votex backs that durability with a two-year replacement policy if the unit breaks in a car wash.

• EPDM rubber resists temperature and environmental degradation
• 304 stainless steel threading prevents snap-offs at the base
• Two-year car wash replacement guarantee for added peace of mind

How simple is installation on a Ford Ranger roof or fender?

Installation is quick and straightforward — most users can swap the antenna in minutes using the existing antenna base. No special tools or wiring changes are required; simply remove the old mast, thread the Votex antenna into the factory base, and tighten securely.

• Direct-fit for Ford Ranger models 1982–2011 using factory antenna base
• Threaded 304 stainless steel mount ensures a secure connection
• Typical installation takes only a few minutes with basic hand tools

What makes this Votex antenna different from cheaper short replacements?

Unlike many economy short antennas that compromise materials and signal path, Votex combines higher-grade materials, German engineering, and an internal copper coil to strike a balance between style and function. The antenna is manufactured exclusively for Votex by an OEM-level partner and includes a subtle brand mark molded into the rubber to verify authenticity.

• Exclusive OEM manufacturing and Votex branding to ensure genuine quality
• Durable materials chosen for longevity and consistent reception
• Engineered to preserve performance while improving aesthetics

Who is this for? This antenna is for Ford Ranger owners (1982–2011) who want a low-profile, durable replacement that keeps reliable AM/FM reception. It’s ideal for drivers who use automated car washes, want a cleaner vehicle silhouette, or need a stronger threaded connection than the fragile brass fittings often used by cheaper parts. If you value longevity, solid engineering, and minimal downtime replacing bent or broken masts, the Votex 6 3/4" offers a practical, well-made upgrade.
