VViViD Black Gloss Vinyl Tape 6in x 20ft — Air-Release Adhesive, Heat-Activated

VViViD Black Gloss Air-Release Adhesive Vinyl Tape is a 6-inch by 20-foot, high-gloss automotive-grade vinyl tape designed for clean chrome deletes, pinstriping and detail work without bubbles or repositioning headaches.

This roll combines a mirror-like black finish with heat-activated, liftable adhesive and integrated air-release channels so applications come out smooth and professional. The tape is made for vehicle trim, accents, and architectural detailing where a durable, glossy surface is required. It simplifies tasks that would normally need large sheets of vinyl or knifeless tape, reducing waste and speeding up installs.

How does this tape create bubble-free results?

The built-in air-release technology channels trapped air outward during application, preventing blisters and creases. Because the adhesive is heat-activated and repositionable, you can lift and realign the tape before final curing for a precise fit.

• Air-release microchannels direct air away while squeegeeing.
• Heat-activated adhesive allows temporary repositioning.
• High-gloss face film resists surface imperfections showing through.

Will this vinyl hold up outdoors and under wear?

The film and adhesive formulation resist scratches, grime and environmental wear, with an expected durable finish for multiple years under normal conditions. It’s engineered for automotive exteriors and architectural accents where UV and road contaminants are common.

• Scratch- and grime-resistant surface extends visual life.
• High-gloss coating resists dulling from light exposure.
• Durability rated for typical automotive and exterior applications.

How does the tape simplify chrome deletes and pinstriping?

Using a narrow, long roll avoids cutting large sheets and reduces material waste; it also makes straight, consistent stripes and trims easier to lay down. The 6-inch width is practical for many trims, and assorted widths are available for finer or broader work.

• Pre-sized roll reduces preparation and trimming time.
• Repositionable adhesive helps align stripes and edges precisely.
• Works with heat for conforming around curves and contours.

What application tools and steps are recommended?

For best results, clean surfaces thoroughly, warm the tape slightly for better adhesion on curved areas, and use a soft squeegee to push air out toward the edges. Heat can be applied gently to finalize adhesion and conform the tape to tight radii.

• Use isopropyl alcohol or appropriate cleaner before application.
• Soft squeegee and a heat gun or hair dryer for curves.
• Trim excess with a sharp blade after full adhesion.

Who is this for? Installers, detailers and DIY enthusiasts who need a reliable, glossy black vinyl tape for trim work, chrome deletes and decorative accents will appreciate this product. It’s also suited for architects, fabricators and hobbyists seeking a long-lasting, easy-to-apply black finish without the difficulty and waste of large vinyl sheets. If you routinely work on vehicle exteriors or small-scale architectural detailing and want faster, cleaner results, this VViViD roll is built to make the job simpler and more consistent.
