VViViD Clear Paint Protection Film 12x25 Kit — 3M Clear Vinyl, Includes Detailer & 2 Felts

VViViD 3M Clear Paint Protection Vinyl Film is a virtually invisible 12"-wide protective wrap that shields automotive paint from chips, scuffs, and light abrasions while including application tools.

This clear paint protection film uses 3M's proven clear vinyl technology to preserve a vehicle's finish without altering its appearance. Supplied as a 12 inch by 25 inch sheet with a detailer and two black felts, the kit is designed for small-area coverage—mirrors, door edges, bumper corners, and other high-contact zones. The film is optically clear and engineered to lie flat and conform to contours when applied correctly, delivering discrete protection that blends with the original paint.

How does this vinyl film protect my car's paint?

The film absorbs the impact of everyday hazards—stones, parking lot dings, and abrasive contact—before they reach the factory paint. Because it is clear and low-gloss, it maintains the look and color depth of the original finish.

• 3M clear vinyl resists light scratches and scuffs.
• Acts as a sacrificial layer to prevent paint chips.
• Optically clear to preserve gloss and color fidelity.
• Thin, conformable material fits curved areas without lifting.

Is the included kit easy to install for a DIYer?

The package includes a detailer and two black felts to help achieve a professional result without specialty shop tools. With careful surface prep and patient technique, most DIY users can apply the film to small panels; large-area installs may still benefit from a pro.

• Comes with a detailer to smooth and position the film as you work.
• Two felts reduce scratching risk during squeegee passes.
• Wet application method allows repositioning before final set.
• Instructions and practice on scrap material improve outcomes.

Which parts of the vehicle are best suited for a 12" x 25" sheet?

The 12" width and 25" length make this sheet ideal for spot protection and precision coverage rather than full-panel wraps. It is well suited for areas that receive frequent contact or concentrated damage from road debris.

• Side mirror housings and mirror stalks.
• Door edges, handle surrounds, and rocker panel tips.
• Front bumper corners and license plate area edges.
• Interior trim where scuffs or wear occur (optional use).

How long will the protection last and how do I maintain it?

Longevity depends on environmental exposure and care, but the film is made to deliver durable, long-term protection when maintained properly. Regular washing, avoiding abrasive polishes, and inspecting edges will extend service life and help the film remain unobtrusive.

• Hand wash or gentle pressure wash; avoid high-pressure at film edges.
• Use non-abrasive car soaps and soft microfiber towels.
• Inspect seams periodically and trim lifting edges if needed.
• Replace sections showing heavy wear to maintain overall protection.

Who is this for: This VViViD 3M clear paint protection film package is aimed at car owners, detailers, and DIY enthusiasts who want targeted, invisible protection for high-wear areas without committing to full vehicle coverage. It suits anyone looking to preserve finish quality on mirrors, bumpers, door edges, and small exterior panels, and comes with basic tools to support a careful, do-it-yourself install.
