YELLOW JACKET Refrigerant Scale 110 lb — High-Precision Portable HVAC Freon Charging Scale, 2 g Resolution

YELLOW JACKET Refrigerant Scale is a portable, high-precision 110 lb electronic weighing scale designed for accurate HVAC refrigerant charging and recovery.

Engineered for HVAC technicians and service professionals, this freon scale delivers lab-grade accuracy in a rugged, jobsite-ready package. The unit measures up to 110 pounds (50 kg) with ±0.05% accuracy and 2 g resolution, giving consistent readings for refrigerant cylinders and recovery tanks. A large LCD, 110° bracket and four-button control make it easy to read and operate, while an aluminum alloy frame and non-slip 9" x 9" platform keep tanks stable. The product includes a portable protective case and a DV 9V battery so you can begin work immediately out of the box.

How precise is the scale for refrigerant charging?

The YELLOW JACKET scale offers highly accurate measurements suitable for tight charging tolerances. Its accuracy of ±0.05% and a resolution of 2 g (0.1 oz) help technicians add or recover refrigerant with confidence.

• Maximum capacity: 110 lbs / 50 kg
• Accuracy: ±0.05% plus 5 g
• Resolution: 2 g / 0.1 oz
• Selectable units: g, kg, oz, lb

What features make this scale durable on job sites?

This HVAC scale is built to withstand field conditions. It uses an aluminum alloy frame for durability, a waterproof and dustproof hard case for transport, and non-slip rubber pads to stabilize tanks during weighing.

• Sturdy aluminum construction resists bending and wear
• 9" x 9" platform with rubber pads reduces tank movement
• Included hard case protects the scale in transit and storage
• Portable DV 9V battery provides up to ~40 hours of operation

How does the scale protect the device and user during use?

Multiple built-in protections prevent overload and extend component life. The remote display shows "FULL" when capacity is exceeded to prevent sensor damage, and automatic shutoff preserves battery life when idle.

• Overload indicator displays "FULL" to warn of excess weight
• Auto power-off after 10 minutes of inactivity
• Backlight times out after 10 seconds; can be locked on with a 3-second button hold
• Four-button control for simple operation and function selection

Can this scale handle different tank sizes and refrigerants?

Yes — the platform and weight capacity are suited for common refrigerant cylinder sizes and recovery tanks. The wide supported unit selection and high resolution allow the scale to be used with all refrigerants and across varying tank sizes.

• Platform dimensions accommodate standard refrigerant cylinders
• Works with all refrigerant types (by weight, not by chemical composition)
• Selectable measurement units for technician preference
• Stable platform and rubber pads reduce slippage for odd-shaped tanks

Who this is for: HVAC contractors, refrigeration technicians, and facilities maintenance professionals who need accurate, portable weighing for charging and recovering refrigerant will benefit from the YELLOW JACKET 110 lb refrigerant scale. It is especially useful for service calls, rooftop units, and mobile refrigeration work where precise dosing and a durable, easy-to-read scale make jobs faster and more reliable.
