YELLOW JACKET Refrigerant Scale 220 lb High-Precision HVAC Charging Scale with Remote and Rugged Case

YELLOW JACKET's Programmable Refrigerant Scale is a portable, high-precision HVAC charging scale that measures up to 220 lbs (100 kg) with programmable setpoints and alerts for accurate refrigerant recovery and charging.

This compact freon scale is built for technicians who need reliable, repeatable weight readings in the field. It combines a rugged aluminum frame, a 9" x 9" non-slip platform, a backlit LCD remote, and a weather-resistant carrying case so you can weigh recovery tanks and refrigerant cylinders precisely at job sites. Readings are available in multiple units and the remote lets you pre-set charge or recovery targets that beep when reached, simplifying timed fills and preventing overcharges.

How accurate is this scale for HVAC refrigerant work?

The YELLOW JACKET scale offers high-resolution measurements designed for HVAC charging and recovery. With a maximum capacity of 220 lbs (100 kg) and a resolution down to 5 g (0.2 oz), it returns consistent readings suitable for professional use.

• Accuracy: ±0.05% plus 10 g for dependable results
• Resolution options: 5 g / 0.2 oz for fine control
• Multiple unit display: g, kg, oz, lb to match job requirements

What programmable features help prevent overcharging or underfilling?

The remote control lets you enter target weights so the scale will audibly alert when the preset value is reached. This helps you stop charging or recovery operations at the exact moment desired, reducing the risk of spills, waste, or incorrect refrigerant amounts.

• 12-button remote to set charging or recovery thresholds
• Audible beep when the set weight is reached for hands-free stopping
• Display shows "FULL" if capacity is exceeded to avoid sensor damage

How durable and portable is the unit for on-site service calls?

Designed for fieldwork, the scale features a sturdy aluminum chassis and a rubberized, non-slip platform to keep tanks steady. It ships with a waterproof, dustproof hard case and includes a 9V battery adapter so you can power the scale immediately.

• Aluminum alloy frame for stability and long-term use
• 9" x 9" platform with non-slip pads to prevent tank movement
• Protective hard case for transport and storage in rough environments

What display, power, and convenience features speed up work?

The scale pairs a backlit LCD remote with a 110° bracket for easy viewing in low light or when placed on the floor. It conserves battery with auto-shutoff, but users can lock the backlight on for continuous visibility during long procedures.

• Backlit LCD remote with adjustable bracket for clear angle viewing
• Auto power-off after 10 minutes to save battery life; backlight auto-off after 10 seconds
• Option to keep backlight on with a 3-second button hold and confirmation beep

Who this is for: HVAC technicians, refrigeration service professionals, and contractors who need a rugged, accurate refrigerant weighing solution on service calls. If you work with recovery tanks, cylinder fills, or precise refrigerant charges and value portability, programmable alerts, and multiple unit options, this scale streamlines charging tasks and reduces guesswork.
