YELLOW JACKET Refrigerant Scale 220 lb HVAC Charging Scale — Large Backlit LCD, ±0.05% High Precision

The YELLOW JACKET Refrigerant Scale is a high-precision HVAC charging and recovery scale that measures up to 220 lbs (100 kg) with an extra-large backlit LCD for clear, reliable refrigerant weighing.

Designed for HVAC technicians and service professionals, this electronic refrigerant scale combines durable aluminum construction, a 9" x 9" non-slip platform, and a portable hard case to deliver accurate, repeatable measurements for charging and recovering refrigerant cylinders. The scale supports four units of measure and offers ±0.05% accuracy, making it suitable for precise charging tasks across all common refrigerants.

How accurate and reliable is this scale for refrigerant charging?

The scale delivers laboratory-level repeatability for field use, with a stated accuracy of ±0.05% plus 10 g and a resolution down to 5 g (0.2 oz). Its robust aluminum frame and protected load cell reduce measurement drift even when used on job sites.

• Maximum capacity: 220 lbs (100 kg) with ±0.05% accuracy + 10 g
• Resolution: 5 g / 0.2 oz for fine adjustments
• Selectable units: g, kg, oz, lb for flexible readings

What makes the display and controls easy to use on the job?

An ultra-large, backlit LCD and a 110° bracket improve visibility in low-light conditions and let you set the screen at a comfortable angle while you work. A four-button control panel supports quick unit switching and basic functions without a steep learning curve.

• Large backlit LCD for clear readings in dim work areas
• 110° tilting bracket frees your hands and stabilizes the view
• Simple four-button interface for on-the-fly unit changes

How durable and portable is the refrigerant scale for field service?

Built with a high-quality aluminum alloy frame and a non-slip rubber platform, the scale withstands regular site handling while keeping cylinders stable during measurement. It ships with a waterproof, dustproof hard case and runs on a DV 9V battery for up to roughly 40 hours, enabling safe transport and long service periods between charges.

• Sturdy aluminum construction resists wear and bending
• 9" x 9" non-slip platform fits common recovery tanks
• Includes rugged hard case for protected transport and storage
• 9V battery included, approx. 40 hours runtime

What safety and convenience features reduce downtime and damage?

The scale protects its sensor and platform with automated warnings and shutdown behaviors: an over-capacity alert displays "FULL," and automatic power-off conserves battery life. The backlight is programmable to turn off after ten seconds or remain on for extended visibility when needed.

• Overload indicator "FULL" to prevent sensor damage
• Auto power-off after 10 minutes to extend battery life
• Backlight auto-off after 10 seconds or forced on via button hold

Who is this for: HVAC technicians, field service contractors, and workshop professionals who need a rugged, portable refrigerant scale for accurate cylinder charging and recovery. If you require precise, repeatable weight readings, easy visibility in the field, and a protected transport solution, the YELLOW JACKET 220-lb refrigerant scale is built to support daily service work and demanding jobsite conditions.
